The overtime is mandatory. Which is usually because of poor management. This company has been around for a long time, but can't manage to even get the parts they need to build the fuel pumps for that month. Departments don't talk to each others & will make changes to areas without communication to those areas. A lot of clean up after other peoples mistakes. Reworks are common. Management uses noncommittal language when you ask about overtime so they can cancel it at the last moment, but expect you to keep the time open all week or even all month. They don't care about safety until someone gets injured or calls OSHA.
