Pros
I expect the company will be bought out and gutted by Goldman Sachs in a year or two They give out T-Shirts every quarter that you can re purpose for washing your car
Cons
This company is a textbook example of failed leadership and management strategies. The entire company is run like an oppressive dictatorship based on fear. As with all dictatorships the issues start at the top. But they don’t end there. The Co-Founders of the company and relatives of the Senior Management are all involved in the day to day operations. Nothing at this company is done in the traditional way businesses operate, which is why the company is burning through cash and falling apart. Other Cons: - Nepotism is rampant so expect to be working side by side with a child, cousin, niece of Senior Executives. As in most nepotism cases these people are not expected to produce any work but will be apart of your team none the less. - Long time employees are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. - Employees that interact with executives are often berated and shouted at during meetings. - Everyone you befriend will quit or be fired within a year. So, don’t get attached. - The company has a team dedicated to fighting bad press on GlassDoor. Mentally adjust the rating accordingly. - The building this company operates out of is a depressing and not maintained. - The Senior Management does not believe in retirement. If you take this job you are on your own for retirement savings. Yes they match, but only a very small amount and the vesting period is long. - The IT infrastructure supporting the products is falling apart. This results in a lot of hidden downtime. - The company can’t retain good developers so most of the team is learning to code on the job. - There is tremendous pressure to sell products like Backline which is the Senior Managements pet project. No one wants it, not even for free. Many people have been fired over not being able to sell this product.
