Pros

Quick hire process when you need a job. SOMEWHAT flexible schedule. I got two raises within the first year. Able to work alone for a lot of the jobs and form good relationships with store personnel.

Cons

I put down part time because some weeks are only 8 to 10 hours... when others are 50 or 60. Most times it's hard to reach management. When I resigned, she didn't comment on it, despite frequent emails and texts. I finally just stopped going to assignments, and then she noticed. "Flexible" is misleading. Big resets with multiple people have to be at a set time... set by the company, not you. Often times, you are over booked. If you are, you have to choose which to go to. If you are designated as team lead, you have to go in a half hour early to do prep and if others who are overbooked don't, you don't get paid. Even if the project finishes, you don't get paid extra for being team lead, but you have to enter the data, which includes pictures. You also don't get paid for time if the project runs over what the company considers typical time, which happens often with older stores with bad shelving or non standard setups. They also don't pay for time spent organizing your schedule or entering data for plans that run long. They also don't pay for expenses such as internet, paper and ink (which you use a lot of), camera batteries or the first 30 miles of mileage. (If you only do one assignment, you don't get mileage at all!) The company line is that you can use your phone to do the assignments, which includes pictures, but they also don't pay for that. Recently, they have been pushing for all plans to be entered by phone, but again with no subsidy for resulting charges.
