Pros
I f you love styling and love meeting new people. that's about the only 2 good experience you will get out of this job. What kept me there this long is I always loved doing hair. That's what kept me going my passion for art, creativity, styling!! and the clients. I absolutely love my clients. you get to meet some real nice people. By making a difference in people's lives.
Cons
A careless, selfish, greedy, company to work for. who only cares about how much money you can make them!!! alot of favoritism!! they treat you just like a number like you replaceable. your only good for selling products and making them money asap & making them look good and that's it. They don't care if you come to work on your shift if its slow they send you home home and don't even get paid for the day. They don't care that you have bills to pay, responsibilities,(ect)is all about oh ladies it's slow today. So go home you don't get paid for the day. What kind of company is this to work for? you don't get no real health insurance. I've been there over a year and a half. & still haven't got a raise yet! not even a dime! they be messing up check, clock ins, they even messed up with my hours sometime I don't even get paid correctly it. and if you work 40 hours and you're about to go over they make sure you don't hit over 40 hours. So you don't get paid overtime. The only way you do is only when it benefits the shop only which regards to making more money. They should be called (drywack) or (drysweatshop) instead!! not (drybar)!!! the company is very unprofessional, it's more like a get rich quick type of company. the main ones running it don't care for the real hard workers which are the passionate stylist like myself who loves to do hair and put creativity into my work keeping this company together while working extremely hard standing on your feet all day only making $8 to $9 dollars an hour while they are charging $40.00 dollars for a blowouts and we are only making a couple of bucks while they are making $31 dollars out of us in 40 minutes are less and most of the times way more with products and packages sold. doing all the work But No!! we are not appreciated for our passion and hard. Another thing I dislike about drybar as well is that. when hired in the beginning of employment...we where given 45 minutes to do a blowout when hired. But now they tell us to hurry up with timing and the blowouts better be done in 10 minutes and some 20- 30 minutes. It's more about quality over quantity. How do you want me to blow dry a hair that curly & thick and long plus with all natural brush curls in the hair in just 10 min. What the hell you think drybar? that my arms and made of steel I'm/we not human? I'm/we are just your program electronic sweat shop robot!!! for god sake I'm/we are not your damn robot money making machine only damn't!! I'm a professional!!! and payed alot of money and went to school to earned a cosmetology license to work as a professional cosmetologist!! not your damn slave, robot, machine, puppet working basically for few dollars and basically free while you want me to do hair you want me to do all your house keeping how ridiculous!!! real talk! And one more thing don't believe all the recent good reviews you see. Mostly all of them are paid and made up by the management team so they can make drybar look good. And cover there true identity. What's in the dark will come to light. keep hiding your deep dark secrets and how you really treat your employees dry-bar. like I said what's in the dark shall come to light.
