Pros

Flexible schedule; work from home; learned a lot about social services and bureaucracy; met some nice co-workers and clients; able to take leave when needed

Cons

Case loads are too high; very top-down organization (upper management disregards concerns of workers); not a very collaborative environment; most supervisors were not licensed social workers; lack of weekly case consultation. Dungarvin is more concerned with making sure they get paid than they are about caring for clients' well-being. Required to maintain both electronic and paper files for clients; overwhelming amount of time-consuming paperwork required by Dungarvin and the county - hard to keep up.

Pros

Flexible hours, Overtime was available during my employment, individuals were great to work with, PTO and PTO buyout.

Cons

Very toxic upper management, chain of command not being taken seriously, emergencies not addressed properly, cliques formed within management and staff creating an unfavorable environment.
