Pros

Looking back at my time at Dynata, I can say that I worked with some talented people. Many of which turned into good friends over the years. I'm thankful for that.

Cons

After the Research Now & SSI merge, this company lost its identity. The current culture and office politics are uniquely horrible. The employees who pull the weight at Dynata are putting in 10-12 hour days, every day. They are treated as disposable by leadership and are paid substandard wages. Undoubtedly, someone from the HR team (who very much protects the org, not the employees) will comment on this message stating that "they regularly verify that salaries are on par with market averages". While I cannot prove if they "check" or not, I can tell you that in my tenure with the company just about everyone I knew made less than market average and exactly NONE of them saw a salary adjustment when raising that to the attention of their superiors. That's simply an excuse that's tough to disprove, thus used in this public environment. To make matters worse, you'll find yourself stuck in a toxic environment because of a flimsy non-compete that you are forced to sign at the time you are hired. Forced, meaning specifically, if you want the job in the first place. This helps to create the environment in which Dynata is able to operate as they do. Young professionals looking for their first job out of college come in excited for an opportunity. They sign this agreement not knowing any better. Fast forward 2-5 years and they are still stuck in the same role, making $50 more a paycheck, and the lucky ones have a fancy "Sr." in front of their title. Want to leave? Well, your only option is to work in an entirely unrelated industry, in an entry level role, because said non compete makes the MR experience you gained in your last 2-5 years utterly useless. Ignore the non compete? You and your new employer will end up with a cease and desist letter from the Dynata legal team as soon as they are made aware. To people considering applying at Dynata, don't. To current employees reading this, get out at your first opportunity. You can do better and the grass is greener.

Dynata Response
5y
Thank you for your valuable feedback, and your years of service. We are sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with Dynata, but we do agree with you that our incredible employees are key to our success. We understand there can be disappointment with salary, but we are committed to our annual performance review process, even in light of the difficult year we all experienced in 2020. Employees who continue to succeed are compensated accordingly. The non-compete you refer to is fairly standard in our industry, and while we hope it encourages employees to remain at Dynata, the true purpose to is to protect any valuable information and tools gleaned while working here.

Pros

flexable hours and reliiable pay for the hours you work. paid bi-weekly

Cons

you had a quota of calls you had to have daily and complete surveys. I could not make people answer their phones. i had to keep people on phone to complete surveys. some surveys would take 30mins! i could get completes. but i got cussed at and screamed at very regularly. i could still get a complete survey even being cussed at. but they kept making itarder with new quota requirements. it became a job that was way too stressful. hours dried up after presidential election. it wasnt very reliable on hours.

Pros

Peers are dedicated to each other and success of the team.

Cons

8+ presidents club winners have resigned in the last 12 months. North America sales leadership operates at a sales manager level and not a strategic thinker or executive leader. Comp plan is designed to hit 90-95% goal and not pay commissions.
