Pros

-Vacation time accrues quickly -Somehow the bozos who run this company manage to hire decent analysts so you might have some good coworkers (for a few months, anyway)

Cons

WHERE DO I BEGIN? -Good luck ever using that vacation time when you WANT to -Employee retention is abysmal -Corporate is out of touch with branch labs and totally disinterested in solving problems -Workload is inconsistent - expect to be slammed for weeks on end and then when you finally have a single slow week, management FREAKS OUT -Big talk about adherence to strict QA/QC guidelines but in reality the only thing that matters is how much work you put out. Quality over quantity. -Pay is a complete joke. Sure, you can work a billion hours of overtime and make halfway decent money, but say goodbye to the rest of your life as you work like you're in a sweatshop -Benefits are a total scam and will cost you like 1/3 of your yearly earnings. EMSL contributes NOTHING to insurance premiums. -No real opportunities for advancement. This place is all about favoritism and nepotism. You will not be recognized or rewarded for the quality of your work but rather whether or not someone higher up likes you.

Pros

Great bosses, structured support from corporate office, workload is manageable compared to other labs I’ve worked for, overall culture is good

Cons

Benefits and pay aren’t great, particularly the benefits, they’re a little pricey and outside of preventative care, don’t cover enough imho, 401k is very low to where it’s almost nonexistent

Pros

Company allows all employees overtime

Cons

Racist head of maintenance, dysfunctional management, zero organization, HR violations constantly. The amount of times I was cursed and yelled at by older analysts was insane.
