Pros

None at all. You may meet a couple of a great people that don't last long in this environment.

Cons

This is for the Pre-pandemic period, not sure if its the same management but I am sure it is since these people have been their for years - The section, assistant and regional managers of the Houston branch use their jobs as a playground to bully and abuse their power towards their analysts. If you make the wrong friends that aren't in their favor, they will automatically punish you for just simply having an association with god forbid, your co-worker that they dislike. Punishments included certain tasks only to the 'bullied' department. I am astonished at how these women think it is ok to be completely unprofessional and childish even to newly added employees that haven't got a single clue or history to individuals they dislike. These individuals happen to be people that actually stand up to them. Terrible work environment. HR and the low wages seem to be a contributing factor as to why higher branch of management doesn't bother about what's going on in their labs.

Pros

Great bosses, structured support from corporate office, workload is manageable compared to other labs I’ve worked for, overall culture is good

Cons

Benefits and pay aren’t great, particularly the benefits, they’re a little pricey and outside of preventative care, don’t cover enough imho, 401k is very low to where it’s almost nonexistent

Pros

- Job is straightforward - Management is pretty lax

Cons

- Lacks managerial oversight - Very little PTO - Unsafe - If you do not have a Bachelor's Degree, you will probably not be advancing very far at this company. Management will lead you on, but will always give preferential treatment (bonuses, analyst positions, etc.) to people with more schooling.
