      Responsibility. The job was semi-autonomous, and you were often allowed to proceed using your own judgement and expertise.

      Cons

      Responsibility could be somewhat overwhelming, dealing with what equated to potentially life-or-death decisions with little regard by management to the consequences.

      Pros

      The work can be challenging but also fulfilling at the same time and many opportunities and resources to learn. The pay and benefits are a little above average.

      Cons

      The culture has adversely changed where it used to be cooperative but now it is more cut-throat and many things are not communicated properly and an imbalance of responsibility and accountability which is causing conflict. There are many "exceptions".
