One of the better places that I've worked. - Data Scientist EPAM Systems Employee Review

Pros

Work from home. Allowed a lot of autonomy with regards to how I deliver on projects. Challenging projects.

Cons

Management are forever kicking the can up the road with regards to discussions about salary increases. Pay has fallen behind inflation. Goalposts for promotion keep shifting; it's really hard to grow with the company. An internal talent mobility program exists, but I've never heard of anyone successfully get relocated; the only viable (and easier) option for switching countries seems to be to quit and change company — and EPAM operates in a bunch of countries that are becoming increasingly uncomfortable or downright terrifying to live in, particularly if you're a member of a marginalized group, and it seems that the company is either deaf or does not care. Relocation only happens if there's substantial business value for the company.

Pros

Competitive compensation and good benefits for visa employees. Everything is fair, company is not taking advantage of you, unlike many similar companies. Lot of internal courses and trainings, opportunity to work in multiple domains.

Cons

Goes crazy after AI hype and stock plummeting
