Lots of people your age (assuming you're in the 20-30 age majority) to meet and become friends with
A chance to rack of miles and points
A chance to get to know the healthcare industry a bit better without actually going to medical school
Everyone that hires you after respects that you worked there (but will always bring up the horrible things they've heard from other people and ask you to talk about it)
Cons
Young people running chunks of the company makes it feel more like high school than actual high school - privileged youth complain about the work but expect perks of jobs people could have spent 30 years in getting.
If one person has something negative to say about you (whether it is warranted or not), you will be harassed by it in reviews for years to come.
Expectations are set to ensure the company continues to be a puppy mill - burning its employees out strategically between their first and second year of employment to make room for the next thousand to be employed in the coming year. Everyone knows this and is aware of it. What makes this company horrible to work for is that no one actually cares.
During a staff meeting, it was said there was no culture at Epic. The whole audience agreed, but then management sent a follow up email saying that's not what they meant. Too late. You said what we had all been thinking.
