Pros
The people I work with are outstanding and I cannot say enough about the teamwork we have within our department. There have been great strides between those in Operations and EHS to work together. Field personnel have trust in our EHS group and understand we are here to provide assistance. The relationships they have built with their personal connections within EHS has granted them the freedom to reach out and discuss privately any questions or concerns they may have, which then can be addressed appropriately. This is only possible due to the complete endorsement of a strong EHS culture from our upper management that does not punish those for speaking up or making mistakes, a culture built on trust, communication and understanding.
Cons
With an extremely fast growth rate, it is unclear if we will be able to maintain those relationships discussed earlier in my "pros" comment. Integration into our culture from our new co-workers and management will be vital to the success of the company and happiness in the workplace.
