Pros

Got hands on experience with computers, which was fun until deadlines were shortened and workloads increased.

Cons

Supervisor was constantly referencing Hitler in code thinking people didn't know what he was saying (for 6+ months this went on). the CEO is super fake / phony who only cares about profits. They donate their garbage and write it off on their taxes. This is a win/win for them, instead of paying to get rid of their trash they get paid for it and it makes them look like a charitable company.

We're really sorry to hear of your experience! I wish we would've known of your concerns with your leader, we would've appreciated the opportunity to address this and support you through it! We also just wanted to explain our donation process... We offer a zero cost service to our partners to remove their old IT assets. A percentage of the value of these assets gets allocated to a "donation bank" for our partners. Our partners then select organizations of their choice to donate technology to, with any amount available in their donation balance. Those recipients then shop our catalog to choose which tech they want/need. They shop from our professionally refurbished gear that's available for resale, just like any other end user/ customer. We also will source new gear if we don't have what they need available in our own stock. We never will donate any products that don't meet our quality standards across the board. Our goal with these donations is to help bridge the digital divide, in an effort to put resources in the hands of those who need it most. We take that mission very seriously and believe in the impact it makes. Additionally, these "donations" are not tax write offs. Since this gear is recycled by our partners, it is not eligible for that. We're sorry for not explaining this. This has helped us realize that we have a gap in communication with our team members. As with any current or prior team members' concerns and feedback, we take them very seriously and try to get better from it. Thank you for being open with us. Thank you and take care!

Pros

Met a lot of cool warehouse workers and temp employees, who were mostly all let go.

Cons

This is for the Mesa location specifically. I cannot speak on the business outside of this specific location. Cult-ish. Favoritism. Preferential treatment. High school drama. Passive aggressiveness. Generally unprofessional environment. Its like if the type of people who never grew up after high school ran a business. Emphasis is 1000% on sucking up to your boss, congratulating the CEO on every little thing he does, going to the same church that everyone else goes to, or just being a general bootlicker than it is about getting your job done. If you want a job where you have to play a social game and preach fake "core values" then this is where to go. From the inside it very much feels like an angsty scrappy little start up, and they definitely treat the warehouse workers like it. If you do anything that someone upstairs doesn't like you get booted for "not being a culture fit." To get into leadership there you have to read some books and do some online courses, on your own time. This is a job that wants 100% of your attention at all times. This job is everyone's social life, and if you don't join that social game with everyone, they will not like you. Work here if you're good at pretending. I would only recommend this job to kids fresh out of high school looking to get some tech experience on their resume, but be advised, STAY OUT of the social game, get your experience, and get out. Year or two at most.
