Pros

I had a great manager!!! Although that's not guaranteed at every site, it was overall a great learning experience right after college! As a HFS you will interact with members (you will meet lots of different personalities), teach group ex classes, help facilitate wellness/incentive programs for the members, get in touch with your "artistic side" (you will be making poster boards to advertise different things for the fitness center).

Cons

Pay is not good, especially for those of us with student loans to pay back, and it's even worse if you have a family to provide for. Additionally, I never got a real lunch break where I could actually get away from the fitness center.

Pros

Love the company culture and values. It’s fun to be apart of an innovative company in the health and fitness industry. 90% of the people I have worked with over the years are great people that really know their stuff.

Cons

For the health and fitness industry the benefits and schedules are great for full-time employees but the pay is sometimes a little low. Pay is sometimes based on the account contract and yearly raises are rare, but small increases do occur to help with the increased cost of living.
