Pros

It was a decent wage at some sites

Cons

I drove up to 45 min each way to teach 45 min classes. Was never offered mileage reimbursement, had to pay my own parking in MPLS. You will feel totally expendable as a group ex instructor. I was there 5 years and never got a raise. I had my vehicle towed off the the lot of one investment bank site as a poverty line single mother and never reimbursed for the $300 it cost me. They actually felt entitled to their mistake. I went to work one day and made $30/lose $270. I had to come in and teach a class with the flu one year because my manager was so militant about missed classes without a sub in place. You will have to find your own subs. If you can’t, you will feel terrorized and with the feeling you could lose your job if you leave for any kind of vacation. In the end I left when they asked me to learn new software to do my own payroll for 6 different sites/managers, with minimal support, entailing hours of trouble shooting for 2 months, resulting in NOT GETTING A PAY CHECK for a whole summer. I recommend STAYING AWAY from these people at all costs— their turnover is huge, the lower and middle tier managers are bitter, unfriendly and non communicative, and you will end up losing time, money, and sleep. Plenty of other places to work.

Pros

Love the company culture and values. It’s fun to be apart of an innovative company in the health and fitness industry. 90% of the people I have worked with over the years are great people that really know their stuff.

Cons

For the health and fitness industry the benefits and schedules are great for full-time employees but the pay is sometimes a little low. Pay is sometimes based on the account contract and yearly raises are rare, but small increases do occur to help with the increased cost of living.
