Pros

They have real potential of becoming a great consulting firm. Technical knowledge and expertise, diversity in service offering, presence in many different market sector and region, one stop shop ... and great people!

Cons

The only way to get a promotion is by becoming a Project Manager which is not for everyone. Management and most of shareholders, which are also employees, are almost exclusively interested/focused on short term performance to maximize share value. So, the only valued performance indicator is the utilization rate and as such there is no allowance for training. CEO is a nice guy but there is a lack of vision, or should I say agreement on one vision and one way to get there (strategy) ... By the way, this is called "leadership". I'm not sure exactly who the real boss is at exp. For sure, the CFO thinks he is!

Pros

Direct managers within the office are nice people. Colleagues are also nice. Opportunity for career growth if you stick around long enough. Some interesting projects.

Cons

*USA offices * Decision-makers at the top of the chain get to have the benefits of remote work (employees remotely work-sharing across offices) but do not allow employees to do the same (if you’re working with a completely remote team you must still come into the office). Despite having proven through the COVID-era that employees can successfully work remotely senior leadership is planning a full return to office 5 days/wk. Lousy healthcare benefits, below-avg compensation. Employees with less than 40 hrs/wk of project work are forced to create technical documents to justify charging to company time when the root cause is the firm not winning projects.
