Pros

As a junior right out of school, exp Services has offered me the opportunity for continuous growth. Despite being hired into a department of little experience, my supervisor has taken the time to educate me and train me on jobs accordingly. The challenges at exp are exciting and once accomplished - rewarding. In addition, the HR recruiting team is exceptional. More specifically, Brampton's Talent Acquisition Specialist helped me throughout the job hunt process. Based on emails and phone calls alone, this individual encouraged me to keep applying within the company and provided tips on how a junior such as myself can ace a position. Once hired onto the Brampton team, she was able to guide me through the hiring process. Overall great company to kick start your career within the environmental sector.

Cons

Communication is key in an industry such as this because multiple individuals are included in both small scale and large scale projects. Lack of communication causes issues with scheduling, hours, etc. It's important to keep the communication as a priority when part of a project.

Pros

Direct managers within the office are nice people. Colleagues are also nice. Opportunity for career growth if you stick around long enough. Some interesting projects.

Cons

*USA offices * Decision-makers at the top of the chain get to have the benefits of remote work (employees remotely work-sharing across offices) but do not allow employees to do the same (if you’re working with a completely remote team you must still come into the office). Despite having proven through the COVID-era that employees can successfully work remotely senior leadership is planning a full return to office 5 days/wk. Lousy healthcare benefits, below-avg compensation. Employees with less than 40 hrs/wk of project work are forced to create technical documents to justify charging to company time when the root cause is the firm not winning projects.
