* There's a ton of work, but not enough people to do it.
* The engineering teams are slightly too large because we don't have enough product owners.
* Small numbers of teams with lots of projects to work on means juggling multiple things at the same time. There's a lot of context switching.
* "Unlimited" vacation is not good. Just like other places that do it, it creates pressure to not take much vacation for fear of abusing the system.
* Revenue depends a lot on weather, which determines our bonuses and other funding. It's kind of messed up, but bad weather means good bonuses.
* People tend to stay connected via chat and email outside of office hours and while on vacation.
* We're ditching our cubes and moving to an open floor plan. I've got mixed feelings about it.
Side note to anyone reading this: if you're interested in a product owner position, please apply! We need you and will kiss the ground you walk on if you do a good job.
Another side note: I see one review on here mentioned bed bugs in the Bothell office! I've never heard that before, but it's worth noting that they're going to be moving to a cool new office very soon. Hopefully "no infestations" is part of the contract on the lease.
