Pros

At the working class level there are some great and smart employees and coworkers. EagleView has some amazing products and I have been proud to see how my job has produced helpful solutions for our customers.

Cons

-Senior management changes every few years, its a revolving door of people who have no experience in the type of business we do. There seems to be little desire to engage with the commoners and learn anything. There is also a bloated middle management level that seems un-empowered to actually change or do anything, their value seems to be entirely to act as a friction reducing divide between the worker and the executive. -Lots of feel good messaging with zero actions ever taken to improve compensation, training or employee growth. HR has a history of poor communications, with no interest in employees staying and growing their careers. -I've held several thankless jobs in my time here and my current position has changed from one with freedom and opportunity for growth to a micromanaged hell, where adults are now treated as children. Management makes lots of promises across the board with little to no desire to make good on them, just to string employees along to stay a little longer.

Pros

- GREAT team and great managers. Our team leader and our business unit leader are great people. With good leadership skill. They offer helpful advice; for business communication, teamwork, and strategic thinking. I can't think of anything leaders on my team could improve. If I had a suggestion, they would listen, even if it was not possible to implement for some reason. - Great customers. GIS is a great field. It's fun to solve problems with geography. People in this field are always nice to work with, across all sectors. - Work from home. Managers trust their team. To get things done on time, act professionally and responsibly, stay in touch, and monitor project priorities and adjust as needed. They check in, and review things as needed. But no unnecessary red tape. They trust us to loop them in when appropriate.

Cons

- No big ones really. Pay is somewhat in range with the industry. Hopefully will see raise this year.

Pros

Excellent work life balance, with unlimited vacation (within reason) and ability to work hybrid or remote to each person's preference.

Cons

Under values the entry/low level positions. Very difficult to move up and progress without lateral moves to new teams and departments.
