All of our staff, particularly our Nursing staff, are heroes in doing their best work each and every day. ECHN is dedicated to serving the underserved and difficult patients in the local community. As in most acute care settings, this presents a lot of challenges for staff and we strive to meet these challenges head on. ECHN has a robust quality improvement program; we appreciate your feedback and will check into your concerns. We are sorry you were not satisfied with your overall experience at ECHN and hope you have found a more rewarding experience in your current position.

Pros

Decent benefits; some good coworkers

Cons

Working in my department was a terrible experience. Management created a toxic, cliquey environment where poor treatment of employees was the norm. Raises were nearly impossible to get, no matter how well you performed. The workload was unreasonable, there was zero work–life balance, and anytime staff brought up concerns, leadership simply ignored them and never made changes. Managers regularly piled extra work on people who were already drowning, and the overall atmosphere was unprofessional and draining. Turnover was constant and morale was consistently low.
