Pros
Potential for learning and experience is amazing and gives you a first hand look at difficult patient populations. Lots of staff that really care and excellent at what they do, from administrative to physicians.
Cons
Reading all the other reviews is validating and a relief- working there and felt horrible about it almost daily. Lack of heartfelt, meaningful, engaged , or even pleasant lead management. A place that spends so much time talking about mindfulness but NEVER practices it leaves you totally drained. If you show signs of stress you are talked about and told you are the problem. If employees leave, which they do weekly it seems, they "weren't the right fit" or "not cut out for mental health " or " a bad hire" . If you have an opinion or a backbone you will be taken down several pegs until you either acquiesce or quit. Such a shame that many of the "leaders" can't lead by example-they surround themselves with people (their friends) that enable their poor behavior. Ultimately if corporate leaders have picked the team and continue to support them it says a lot about who you are working for and what their values really are. The culture is one of fear, gossip and as so many others have said it is toxic.
