Pros
Many years ago this was a great, caring company with world class treatment. This was before Rebecca Steinfort (CEO) and other Executives were installed by private equity to scale the business and improve profitability. What followed was leadership that focused on profits above care and implemented ruthless business practices and policies, which have indeed improved business results in short term ways (with focus of Executives being able to sell to new equity owners, which they did, to achieve bonuses and large payouts), but in doing so completely eroded and hollowed out the culture and soul of the organization - compromising and poisoning the long term sustainability and hurting a lot of teammates and patients in the process.
Cons
There is a lot of dysfunction and it all stems from the top of the organization and the Executive team. Arrogant and selfish, they lead with short term tone deaf practices. Examples include, under paying employees, small raises and poor benefits, refusing to adjust inadequate staffing to client ratios, not advancing promoting employees, cutting corners or outright ignoring food safety regulations. Things will not change until Executive team is replaced, the board finally reads and acts on reviews like this one, or so much turnover and poor reputation impacts clinical work to point there is a major patient tragedy or public scandal. I worked here for years, often closely with the executive team and saw how the sausage was made. I naively hoped things would change, that the COO would eventually be replaced, that they would hire a competent CHRO or a CHRO at all. I reasoned that once the company was sold to a new equity partner the CMO and other Executives might make their money and leave or retire (maybe they were locked in for 12-24 months?). I unfortunately stayed too long. All the best employees with good sense left years ago. Environment - Trust compromised. Gossipy and backbiting. Gaslighting. Heavily political. Low accountability. Low respect. Unfair. Unethical. Broken. Last thing I'll say here. When the entire compliance team all leaves at once... maybe that's a sign.
