Pros

I get a salary and benefits. I enjoy the camaraderie with my colleagues.

Cons

Unrealistic schedules, understaffed, work-life imbalance. Mid-level management tries to keep it together but ultimately receives no support from upper management. Shareholders receive record dividends and upper management is giddy about their bonuses while employees are placed on multiple weeks of mandatory unpaid leave when times get tough.

Pros

Q & CI are supported overall from the top. Quality Management Systems and procedures are embedded in the company culture...across all of Eaton. No matter what site or city you go to, it is overall the same QMS. Roles and processes are standardized, people know where to find their standard work and understand the processes...although not always followed. Overall support of iERGs is good. A lot of people stay for their entire career, so longevity can be a pro, but a con as well. Company recognition is good overall.

Cons

Low pay. Good ol' boy network for promotions. Slow to promote. Calibration process for annual performance ratings is a bit questionable at times. Company culture drastically changed over the years as LDPs (Leadership Development Participants...a rotational program) started being promoted too quickly without the maturity, wisdom and experience needed for the roles. Lack of diversity at local sites, although corporate level roles were very diverse.
