Pros

The kids (which Eckerd is not even responsible for bringing in)

Cons

I don't even know where to begin. If I could give this place a 0, I absolutely would a million times. Eckerd is the perfect example of a "non-profit" (more like corporate) organization that completely fails the social work field and gives social work a bad rep. It is the most toxic work environment you will EVER work in and I'm not kidding when I say this place is the WORST. There are so many unethical things that happen every single day. Day, not year or month, but day. And guess who suffers? the kids. People that work here are literally here for a paycheck and it doesn't get better when you look at the higher ups, they're the worst. HR and management doesn't exist. You file a complaint, it goes into a dust drawer, literally nothing you say makes a difference. The few employees that genuinely care are completely burnt out and depressed and let go/forced out. This is the most hypocritical org I have ever worked in, the trainings go over everyone's head. I was constantly in trouble for being "too nice" with the kids. If you care at all for your sanity, don't even think of applying here. I wish someone had told me that before working here. Now I'm left with months of emotional struggling and burn out. This is also probably a quarter of all the stuff I want to say but can't because of a minimum character count.

Pros

Everyone on the team gets along with each other and helps each other out when needed. The work environment is great!

Cons

The contract is only for three years. However, the work and work environment makes it worth the stay, and a contract renewal is possible!

Pros

- Great learning opportunities - Does not micromanage - Great support system DEPENDING who is your superior - Many resources and training for staff - If you are good at being a self starter perfect place just have to make sure you are vigilant due to upper management clicks. - Amazing financial management and HR department. - Access to be able to reach out to other colleagues outside your area depending on your upper management or supervisor for training and resources is great - Amazing tech support and start up make sure you have all things needed to start your position - The company’s history isn’t self and mission amazing sadly SOME upper management have corrupted it but in different areas depending on management do amazing work and truly uphold their mission and integrity - Pay is reasonable if you are hourly salary depends on who your supervisor. - Amazing work and training - is it modules however still have many ways to access all of them - Work life balance depending on position is awesome however have the expectation that the same that they work with you when something is needed it better be done.

Cons

- Some Upper management only cares about themselves and their clicks they make - Some Upper management like to intimidate and bully lower management and will not stand up for you - They do not value employees and will not advocate for them despite the work you have done - Some Upper management will gaslight and use intimidation without proper human response procedures but will convince you that you are the problem. - It is all about clicks and sadly they do not live up to their mission of treating people the way God treats them. - Only care about themselves and contracts depending on superior and they are great to make you feel like they car - Horrible access to medical insurance- super high prices and due to working across the States limited on providers - Their disability insurance with Sunlife is horrible - Upper management (some not all) are hypocritical and do not lead by example as mentioned prior you have to be in their click - No consistency in support with supervisors it literally depends who you “get” - Not all upper management- depending who you get- value your work and will be the first to save their position and also will buddy up with their clicks to make sure you are aware of their power. - Many opportunities to grow however depends on your superior and contractual agreement and funding however; there is tons of room to grow - Many different trainings available and consistent company meetings to be able to as questions and receive insight. - Soooo many amazing programs to be able to be involved in and grow
