Pros

Fully maintained modern car, Credit card, Autonomy- Some fantastic Co-workers and senior support staff (please hold on to them). Salary is good if you worked just 40 hrs BUT you do not more like 55+

Cons

No life/ work balance- Emails, calls, texts on weekends and Holidays, sick (from management and customers)- if you are approved for your holiday- no one covers your area while away, so massive issues to deal with on your return. The work load became unmanageable the last few months I was there as the expectations have changed to included Business development manager as well as servicing a very large customer base that requires training, order management, installing and servicing equipment, sales. ESR call outs (yes that takes up a big chunk of the day) No over time is given and you easily work 55+ hours a week. If you have children you will not see them. I have meet some great managers in my time there and some terrible ones- like any where. Depending on which one you get it will make or break your time with Ecolab- as it is high stress but with the right supportive manager it can make it fun and enjoyable.

Pros

The pros are four day work week 10 hour days, with many Fridays volunteer overtime They try to make a friendly environment

Cons

The pay is not as good as the other places around the area – odd for a fortune 200 company Daily quotas on work – some of them are unrealistic Many department supervisors – a.k.a. “coaches “ are pretty good – one or two are not. Typically these are the ones that have been there for 25 years plus. 20 minute break in the morning, 20 minute break for lunch 10 minute break in the afternoon You are truly on your feet for majority of the 10 hour day The corporation tries to make a friendly environment, but very few employees involve themselves in it. Much backstabbing among line workforce, not a healthy environment. Line workforce runs to supervisors constantly about other people when they should be concerned about their own work. Management has their favorites and you could see that by who who they talk to, and who Brown noses them
