Pros

Good benefits, with unlimited PTO, which you are encouraged to take. Great people! While there are limited resources and many teams are short staffed, because of this you will learn a lot!

Cons

As noted above, many teams are short and poorly staffed, which means work never gets done and you’ll wear many hats. The product and technology is also incredibly old. Many systems are being updated, but it’s taken years and will likely be pushed again. In addition, there’s frequently mass layoffs, which brings morale and productivity down. You never know when your name is going to be called. In addition most of the senior leadership is new and doesn’t appear to fully understand the business or it’s short term needs to achieve longterm success.

Pros

- Great team from department head down - Collaboration is encouraged - Self-starter culture with good room for side projects - "See something, say something" approach allows questioning methodology without a feeling of personal attacks or "dumb questions" and enables team members to support each other in a safe environment - Work from home

Cons

- Executive leadership does not know what they want - Consistent turnover in C-Suite leads to departments acting like small internal companies rather than part of a larger system - Limited permission access for team members means that any absence or time-off can lead to a backlog of deployments
