Overworked, under appreciated - Customer Service Representative Edfinancial Services Employee Review

Pros

The company does try to add benefits to employees like an engagement committee, volunteer work for community, and a casual dress, very diverse group.

Cons

Do frequent layoffs, pressure to do previous jobs even if switched departments. Micromanagement was huge. They monitored any time you left your desk even rest room breaks. If you started in customer service and switched to financial aid then switched to another department you were expected to still do customer service, financial aid and new department while meeting same goals in current department as employees in that department that were not having yo do multiple duties. It was a highly stressful job.

Pros

Great pay, Creative Benefits Structure, There is a passionate group of individuals who make themselves known by the clear willingness to help others in and out of the company or a specific department. Those who are willing to learn and grow have ample resources.

Cons

Very large operation. Fully dependent on contract requirements. The number of individuals who are skilled AND willing to assist is not large. There is a 'luck of the draw' component based on hiring date and department due to the work reflecting the industry.
