Pros

Edward Jones gives good training and takes good care of its people, and they have a culture of genuinely taking care of their clients.

Cons

Starting out as an FA is tough sledding anywhere. Most people can't meet the sales quotas. It's tougher if you don't have a lot of affluent social connections before you start, or lack family in the firm to hand you clients. (really tough, but not impossible to succeed)

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
