Pros
Work with great people. Management at the property values you and cares for you. Discounts on apartments. Ok pay (pre uniforms)
Cons
Leasing have to buy several hundred dollars worth of uniforms that you can buy elsewhere way cheaper. Company is profiting off of you. And even if the uniforms are still in great shape, you have to buy more every 6 months. Maintenance You get a nice chunk out of your pay check to rent uniform pieces. The jackets look like crap and probably won't hold up in the Winter like the optional Carhartt jackets you can buy for a discount do like a champ. Why do I need 3 of the same jackets? One is only needed, maybe two if it has to go in for washing. Now I get paid 19 cents less an hour due to uniforms. I have family to feed. I have worked for companies requiring uniforms in the past (one a competitor) and never had to buy or rent uniform pieces. I was assigned them. Corporate doesn't care because they are more concerned about building more complexes and cashing in more money. Pet fees are back. Its sad we can't get a break. $250 pet fee, $20 per pet per month and $15 per paycheck for uniforms (leasing will cost you way more even though you buy them and buy more every 6 months). Only subside 80% of employee medical benefits. Not the spouse or your kids. Have to pay for Short-term and Long-Term insurance. You have to pay for dental and vision also but those two is what I paid (20%) at another job so not as big of a deal.
