Pros
Talented technologists, novel and original products that should be a sales success if the company was capable of getting its sales, marketing and branding strategy right. Experienced and shrewd buyers of small software companies who have developed great technology but are struggling to generate the capital to invest in sales and marketing.
Cons
Arrogant, superficial, over-confident (UK) execs who are out of touch and unfamiliar with the technology space in which they operate. Execs have zero passion or interest in software, "software quality tools" or software testing; the product could be anything (so long as it 'looks nice'). A distinct lack of interest in staff feelings and welfare; unsurprisingly turnover is high.
