The Sioux Falls tax office is a very toxic environment. It is understaffed with very high turnover due to the department head. This leads to many issues with staff and errors in the workload. Hours are much higher during the busy season than what is stated during the hiring process. PTO is also limited by the department head in the off season. If you take it too quickly — you will be placed under review. The office environment is very cliquey. Overall, this was easily the worst experience I have had in my professional career. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work in the Sioux Falls office.
