Pros

During my five years with the SALT team, under the leadership of Scotty Amos and managers Melissa Sullivan and Jeffery Forrester I had the opportunity to grow in ways I could not have imagined. Leadership created an environment where learning was encouraged, skills were developed, and new challenges were met with support and solutions. Leadership was consistently responsive, constructive, and genuinely invested in my success. As a single mother, maintaining a healthy work–life balance was essential. Scotty, Melissa, and Jeffery understood this and worked with me fairly and thoughtfully, ensuring I could be present for my children while continuing to advance in my career. Their support made a meaningful difference in both my professional development and my family life. Our team experienced significant growth during those years, and with that growth came its own set of challenges. Even so, we navigated those changes together through collaboration and a shared commitment to moving in a positive direction. That period of transition strengthened us—individually and collectively—and reinforced a supportive work culture. My decision to leave EA was a personal one driven by family responsibilities. It was never a reflection of the firm, my leadership, or my coworkers. I remain grateful for the support and opportunities I experienced during my time with the SALT team.

Cons

Work hours could be long during periods leading up to major deadlines.

Pros

I had the opportunity to meet the wonderful team at EisnerAmper, The South Florida audit department is filled with amazing people who truly want to help each other, and it was special to be able to work with everyone. Additionally throughout my internship I was able to learn about the Audit process from planning to execution, and how to utilize the various software's available for auditing in EA. I was able to familiarize myself with important financial documents such as bank statements, AR schedules, WIP Schedules, Depreciation Schedules, AP Schedules, and much more.

Cons

The internship began in the summer, which can be a slower time for the company which meant less work to delegate to interns. Some days I found myself with little to no work, even though I reached out to multiple members in the audit department. Additionally, June-July is a slow time in the office, so there were days where the other intern and I were the only individuals in the office
