At the beginning Great Lakes felt like a family type atmosphere and very patient centered and staff centered within the last months we are steering away from that with our recent merge and it’s becoming a financial driven corporation. The recent merge has caused employees to lose a sense of security in their jobs. A lack of security can cause an extreme decline in morale around the office and out in the field which will cause an decrease in employee retention which a lot of staff feels as though that is the goal which is to purge... we have remained out of the loop of what the future of Great Lakes or should I say elara is going to be and that is not good business practice for a company that is striving to maintain a peaceful transition that has been letting go of our friends, colleagues, and seasoned staff weekly without so much as a notice. Trimming the fat is necessary and is needed in any merge but not making staff aware does not make for the greatest welcome wagon into a new company and does not make the survivors of this merge confidant you can run us with integrity... signed, a loyal and almost former employee of the once wonderful Great Lakes Caring...
