Pros
I am having a hard time thinking of anything positive right now. Some of the cafeteria specials aren't too bad? All kidding aside, Anthem has the potential to be a great place to work, but the current culture brought on by the new CEO is puzzling at best. They seem to be going backwards into an antiquated and very strict corporate environment. It's just not a great place to be right now.
Cons
Locked in the position you are hired as, no career path for advancement. Anthem does very little to develop their talent, they would rather hire from the outside than promote from within. Opaque leadership, they often do not disseminate information to lower levels of staff, especially regarding layoffs. It's not uncommon for people and departments to "disappear" with no plan of replacement. Work from home polices are slowly being taking away. Tedious time time tracking and micromanagement stands in the way of any real productivity. The appearance of being busy, and documenting your time is far more important than the actual merit of your work. CEO has created a negative culture, every new rule and initiative feels like a punishment. Bonuses are being reduced for "reasons". Contracted and temp workers have replaced full time staff.
