Pros

I have had excellent supervisors. All have been supportive. My leaders are not empowered though to make decisions about things like WFH requirements - that's micromanaged from the very top down.

Cons

I have always worked remotely and now the company is pushing return to the office. My colleagues are all in other states, so going in serves no point. We are a one car family (downsized during COVID) and my annual raise hasn't kept up with inflation. We are expecting a new baby and cannot afford another car, so this has been challenging -- nevermind the cost of gas and the time spent commuting. I am feverishly looking for a new job, which is unfortunate because I'm great at what I do and love my work. When the recent employee engagement survey indicated there was widespread discontent with this policy, employees were basically told too bad - this is non negotiable. Feeling unheard makes me feel angry - I used to love my job and felt motivated. Now I'm resentful. I hate that for myself. The benefits are fine - my spouse works for another major Indiana employer and gets double the parental leave - more flexible schedule - better raises, etc. Reorgs and layoffs are common. I'm sure a part of pushing return to the office is hoping people quit to decrease the number of RIFs. We are always basically told by management just to be grateful we have a job - which breeds a culture of anxiety and fear. The reduction in workforce has also put increased pressure on those remaining. I'm working endless hours and full of stress for annual raises that don't keep up with inflation.

Pros

Good Benefits and insurance Groceries benefit School reimbursement Gym benefits Hospital indemnity Insurance Remote work convenience

Cons

Pay rate never really goes up. Prefer to promote inexperience outsiders than from within. Low pay At the whim of Manager Favoritism Political Pretentious Metrics based of friendship with Management Hard to move up of you don’t suck up to a Manager or be political or be part of their click and group. QIP is also at the whim of the manager. Faulty metrics where you are blamed for FCR failures even when you fixed the issue on your first call and but because the member called in multiple times to other associates who didn’t help. Or do their job, they blame you for first call resolution when you never talked to the member till you resolved it. This is really messed up and it affects your QIP.
