Pros
Ellucian hosts a values set that aligns well with mine. For instance, there is a commitment to hard work coupled with an appreciation for work-life balance. Additionally, the benefits package includes opportunities to serve your local community with paid time off. There are opportunities for lifelong learning such as LinkedIn Learning, company and departmental book clubs and thought leadership/conference participation. There is a visibility of and access to executive leadership. Especially during COVID-19 response, the executive team provided regular updates and shared rationale for decisions being made. The executive team is approachable and cares about the well-being of the employees.
Cons
There is not a lot of opportunity for upward movement. I have been in my current role 4+ years and find very few opportunities for new responsibilities, nor do I see a next step for me within the company.
