Incompetent & Dysfunctional Management - Information Technology Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Employee Review

Pros

The flight school has had an excellent reputation for student training that leads to a career - this goes back for decades.

Cons

Although the website seems to flaunt the benefits, medical, dental, and vision have high deductibles that must be met before any co-pay "benefits" kick in. Embry-Riddle has some of the worst contracts with "benefits" providers in the industry for staff and faculty - several Blue Cross Blue Shield, Standard Dental, and VSP representatives say they "have seen much better." One visit to a doctor costs over $100.00. Approximately zero opportunities to "move up," as the only option to seek a "promotion," would be to apply to job openings announced to the public. These opportunities come up when someone quits, is terminated, or dies. Many management employees seem to lack basic people skills, let alone leadership ability. It's not what it used to be.
