Pros

I’ve been at Emerald for over a year, and it’s been a really positive experience. The people are collaborative, senior leaders are involved and approachable, and I’ve been able to get exposure to a lot of different parts of the business. It’s definitely fast-paced, but there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. One thing I really appreciate is that speaking up is encouraged—ideas are taken seriously no matter your level. You can feel the effort the company is putting into strengthening the culture and keeping people top of mind. Overall, it’s a great place to build your career and be part of a team that’s always evolving.

Cons

It’s a fast-paced environment, which makes the work exciting and varied. If you enjoy taking on responsibility, stretching yourself, and staying challenged, you’ll thrive here. You work hard, but it comes with meaningful opportunities to grow and make an impact. Management is also very focused on strengthening the culture, and it’s been encouraging to see the continued effort and progress. There’s more to build on, but the commitment is real and the direction is positive.

Pros

-Depending on what team you're on, you get a lot of autonomy. (on the flip side, see con- if you're on the wrong team) -Good benefits -Fun events & Travel opportunities

Cons

-People getting laid off left and right all time. One minute you have a team mate and the next they are just gone. -Management is top heavy and operates like a fraternity -If you're on the wrong team every move is watched -Your job is NEVER safe -Imagine with the acquisition that was just announced by Apollo that the reason for layoffs was to become lean before transition. I would hedge bets that this will also continue to be a numbers game and positions are going to be uncertain -Sales plans are always ambiguous and there were even times where the plan wasn't out until several months into the year. Expected to sell over and above but didn't always have a sales plan to follow. It was always changing.
