Like many organizations, the company runs lean, which requires associates to adopt new duties in some cases as team sizes are optimized.
Sometimes, there is less scaffolding than would be ideal as new duties crop up. If you're reluctant to grab the reins and just take ownership, Emerald may not be the perfect fit.
But if you like having the freedom to say, "I'll own this now, and I want to try doing things this way," you'll feel more empowered within Emerald than in most organizations I've worked for.
PTO is unlimited for full-time employees, but I find that the company's ambitious goals and aggressive growth sometimes cause associates to take less time off than if they had a specific, numbered allotment of days.
