Pros

*Emerald has a lot of experienced leadership and employees that are focusing on making the business stronger and adding measurable value to all their brands. *Firm business model and understanding in the Tradeshow/Events/Conference industry. *Promotes employee growth opportunities and opened to Entrepreneur ideas. *Seeks and acts on all feedback from customers, vendors, and employees.

Cons

Emerald Expositions is a relatively new company made up of a few established tradeshow businesses and as it's grown, over the past 3+ years, you have growing pains. As the growing pains are subsiding the company is starting to flourish as an industry leader.

Pros

-Depending on what team you're on, you get a lot of autonomy. (on the flip side, see con- if you're on the wrong team) -Good benefits -Fun events & Travel opportunities

Cons

-People getting laid off left and right all time. One minute you have a team mate and the next they are just gone. -Management is top heavy and operates like a fraternity -If you're on the wrong team every move is watched -Your job is NEVER safe -Imagine with the acquisition that was just announced by Apollo that the reason for layoffs was to become lean before transition. I would hedge bets that this will also continue to be a numbers game and positions are going to be uncertain -Sales plans are always ambiguous and there were even times where the plan wasn't out until several months into the year. Expected to sell over and above but didn't always have a sales plan to follow. It was always changing.
