Pros

There weren't any PROS. Never paid on time and management was so negative. I absolutely hated this job. There was nothing that was done right and they will take money from you.

Cons

I have never been more displeased with a company in my life. Everyone was negative and even having great sales experience this job is not for that. If you love to be nit- picked, talked down to, over worked and underpaid then this is the job for you. None of the management seemed to ever care about the workers they were greedy and wanted money. Management brought politics into it and everyone was just downright awful. I have never hated a job more than this one.

Emerald is a company with a long-standing history in the tradeshow industry, and we have continued to grow successfully over time. We hold ourselves to high ethical standards as an organization, and if you felt you were treated unfairly or did not receive payment in a timely manner, we encourage you to follow up with Human Resources. Unless you were working for Emerald as an Independent Contractor, you should have been paid consistently every two weeks.

Pros

-Depending on what team you're on, you get a lot of autonomy. (on the flip side, see con- if you're on the wrong team) -Good benefits -Fun events & Travel opportunities

Cons

-People getting laid off left and right all time. One minute you have a team mate and the next they are just gone. -Management is top heavy and operates like a fraternity -If you're on the wrong team every move is watched -Your job is NEVER safe -Imagine with the acquisition that was just announced by Apollo that the reason for layoffs was to become lean before transition. I would hedge bets that this will also continue to be a numbers game and positions are going to be uncertain -Sales plans are always ambiguous and there were even times where the plan wasn't out until several months into the year. Expected to sell over and above but didn't always have a sales plan to follow. It was always changing.
