Pros

Looks great on a resume.

Cons

Poor leadership. No system thinking; each Emory facility competes and operates differently. No standardization. Poor practices; processes based on opinions and not evidence based. Don't expect competitive pay because "it's a privilege to work for Emory." A current push for reducing the amount of clinical leaders (I guess that's a pro if you are not clinical). Company cares more about keeping a management position filled vs keeping the employees under that manager happy. Worst IT EVER. The entire IT should be outsourced....it's that bad. Can take years to get a purchased software installed, constant downtime, yelling matches during IT meetings, implementing processes without asking the end user how they function, etc.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
