Pros

Steady job and nice co-workers (for the most part). My encounter with other employees have been good. Working under the right management and team makes work enjoyable.

Cons

Advancement to new positions can be slow/hard to get into. You have to know the right people and work under good and caring management that doesn't mind promoting you. Management can make or break your work experience. Racking up PTO can be hard the first 5 years (8 hours per pay period/bi-weekly). Tedious hiring process. I had to interview 3 times to get into Emory. Once in, I had to interview with various clinical departments before I was able to land a permanent position/location. Pay is OK.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
