Pros

Good benefits when you have them. All suspended right now because of the pandemic.

Cons

I work in an ICU that recently went from 32 beds to 62 beds. They only hired 3 travel nurses. We are losing nurses left and right for travel assignments because you can make way more money. Every shift there is 5+ nurses with 3 patients when we should be capped at 2. Everyone is so unbelievingly stressed, teamwork is deteriorating because you don’t have time to help your coworkers, and patient care is suffering.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
