Human resources only cares about the administration, if you have any problems (including harassment, bullying) they will tell you to keep your head down or risk being fired. Animal testing is done on campus and many of the scientists doing animal research lack the skills to do this humanely or they simply don't care. "Equal opportunity employment" only applies to minorities and veterans...actually had my supervisor tell me to specifically not hire a white person (even though they were the most qualified) because they wanted a "black female."
