Emory does not value employees. There is so much burnout I know many people leaving academia. We've stayed because of the students and the mission, but when you aren't treated well and compensation is not competitive, I can no longer sacrifice my wellbeing. The salaries are low compared to other universities in the area and the price of living in Atlanta keeps going up.
