Pros

If you are driven, have great client focus, want to excel beyond just punching the time clock...Empire is great! The company puts a lot of effort into fully understanding where the employees' headspaces are. They really listen and act upon information received in the surveys. Technical Training and People skills training are offered companywide to all employees, not just those in leadership roles. This company stands by its values and our CEO is the most down to earth man I have ever met. He is transparent, "walks the walk", and is extremely invested in day to day operations. If you are hired and it may not be the happiest place on earth for you, there is the ability to change roles or departments. They are focused on retention and keeping employees engaged.

Cons

Communication is always a struggle for some. E-mails fly out and are only read by some employees, granted not the fault of Empire, but ways in which we communicate could be better. Additionally, many employees are struggling with the change of processes, apps and procedures. This is a temporary "con" and will sort itself out with time.

Empire has a legacy of long-tenured employees, great values, and strong guiding principles.

Cons

Empire is a male-dominated company that tends to give special treatment and additional perks to men of equal position, such as company vehicles and advancement opportunities. There are double standards in conduct. There are cases of favoritism - the saying, " it's not what you know but who you know, " definitely applies here.
