Pros

I liked the people in the office I worked in

Cons

Cold calling, no leads were provided, Zero flexibility on working from home, Surprise visits to prospects who do not want to see you. This company is operating like it’s the 1980s. Sales strategy is: surfing indeed.com to find companies in need of help, using zoom info to target people within those companies and get their contact info, calling those targets on their company and mobile phones, or attempting to drop in and visit them, and providing them with paper copies of literature explaining why they should use our services. Unless there is a massive overhaul in strategy, this company will not make it another 10 years. AI and search will connect labor needs with labor supply, and there isn’t room for middlemen with a 40% markup. In hindsight, during the interview process they were incredibly vague on the day to day, answering many of my questions with, “it’s hard to explain.” Long story short, this was the worst job I’ve ever had.

Pros

Good base salary, a lot of resources, and other BDMs are very supportive and willing to help new BDMs

Cons

So much of your success depends on the Operations and Recruiting team. You can do your job and get the sale, but if your recruitment team does not do a good job filling the orders or they have a lot of turnover, all of your hard work is for nothing basically. In my experience leadership for whatever reason will do the bare minimum to address issues with the recruiters and you will likely not have a meaningful solution to the problem.
