Pros

If you had not other options, it would be a (small) paycheck till you can find something else. Other good things: free parking, a lot of anonymity (because you certainly do not matter), starbucks is across the street.

Cons

the main downsides are management, corporate culture, salary and how no one matters. You will not matter at Great-West. Don't trick yourself into thinking you will. You will sit in a tiny cubicle and be overworked and underpaid. You will work your ass off, only to be told you're not doing enough and you can surely do better. Oh and the elevators are totally unsafe, they drop a few feet frequently. Just a matter of time...

Pros

Responsible Time (which is truly encouraged to be used and is one of the only things keeping people above water at the moment); great coworkers

Cons

Company is growing too big, too fast and employees simply cannot keep up and are burning out. Too many changes at once and employees feel senior leadership does not notice or they simply don’t care. Associates who have been with Empower since the beginning are saying this is not the same Empower they once loved working for.
