Pros

Good place for new graduate nurses to learn basics of patient care such as time management, interacting with doctors, and bedside care of patients. Management encourages employees to get rehabilitation certification and will help pay for it. Patients often make good progress during their stay and it is rewarding to see them get better.

Cons

Patient acuity continues to increase. Typically have 8-10 patients per shift so it is very busy. Management has declined in quality and expects too much time commitment for the pay

Pros

Great team to work, people are always willing to help each other. The clinicians genuinely care about their patients and it shows every day. You feel like you’re making a difference in patients’ lives. Good teamwork between departments. Leadership listens to feedback and wants the hospital to keep improving. Positive work environment with coworkers who care about doing a good job.

Cons

Healthcare is busy, so some days can be stressful. Things can change quickly, so you have to be flexible. Communication between departments can always improve. Like most hospitals, staffing can be tight at times.
